SHI sets new revenue record while navigating changing IT landscape

In the past 12 months, the IT landscape has been remapped in both technical and business terms. Cloud, on-prem data center, and hybrid infrastructure have presented customers with more IT options than ever before. Meanwhile mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures consolidate some vendors while creating others – often in the same marketplace. Still, SHI marches forward.
Driven by strong partner performances, SHI’s first half revenue came in at $3.3 billion – a 12 percent year-over-year increase. SHI recorded growth across its enterprise and commercial, public sector, and SMB sales divisions, and saw $400 million in revenue from emerging partners, many of which focus on cloud-based technologies that continue to challenge the traditional IT playing field.
Security and storage remain top priorities for many organizations we serve, and SHI’s close relationships with major and up-and-coming IT providers help connect organizations with the technologies they need. SHI is now a #1 partner to 10 of the largest and most recognizable IT providers and a #2 partner to dozens more.
Over the past year, SHI has also doubled the size of our Advanced Solutions team that supports many data center customers. By building this large team of technical experts, SHI has increased its capacity to support complex data center initiatives from coast to coast.
But don’t take my word for it. Read CEO Thai Lee’s thoughts on SHI’s first-half 2016 performance in our official earnings press release.
